Narrow-necked spheroid vase

Body decorated on one side with a stylised giant squid whose horizontally spread arms describe curves and spirals. The other side is decorated with stylised underwater plants. Foot decorated with a terracotta stripe from which eight small plants emerge, against a mottled ground. Mottled neck decorated with a terracotta stripe.

Slip-cast form. Pounced underlayer, finished with a matt terracotta glaze on a greenish, whitish and pinkish glazed ground (camaïeu).
