Bell-shaped vase with wide tiered neck

Inventory number: St 431

Around the body runs a frieze of repetitive and regular stylised motifs including suns and clouds. Foot finished with a cobalt stripe outlined in ochre slip. The tiered funnel-shaped neck is decorated with friezes of juxtaposed lobed and cross-hatched motifs.

Slip-cast form. Decoration with printed contours traced with ochre slip, filled in with matt cobalt, dark green and yellow-green enamel on a white ground. Matt black enamelled inside.
