Spherical vase with raised mouth

The neck is finished, both inside and out, with a navy blue band. Below this band, to the shoulder, run four bands (two taupe, one beige and one navy blue), leaving much of the ground visible between them. Below the shoulder, an interplay of navy blue and brown, shaded into each other by means of a transitional area of ochre speckles.

Slip-cast form. Decoration obtained by stencilling of beige, navy blue, brown, taupe and ochre glazes, airbrushed with ochre for a mottled effect (for the shading under the body), on a cream ground, all underglaze.
