Wide-mouthed egg-shaped vase

This design is called "Moonwort" or "Honesty". Five stylised stems of honesty are distributed over the shoulder. The five stems reach down to the foot, which is finished with superimposed layers of fine green and dark brown glazes, imitating grass.

Slip-cast form. Stencilled decoration of matt mottled brown-beige glazes on a dark brown ground. Foot finished with superimposed matt glazes applied with a brush. Inside of the neck glazed a greenish blue. Contours applied with a brush.
