Egg-shaped vase with raised mouth

Neck finished with a navy blue band. Below the neck runs a zigzag delineating six spaces, each filled with a brown triangle. The zigzag is repeated on the body, dividing the body into two zones. The top zone is brown. The bottom zone is decorated with broad interlaced oblique lines, some of which have an irregularly serrated end. Foot finished with a double band in navy blue and brown. Light mottled effect in the top brown zone. Liberal use of drip glazes in the bottom zone.

Slip-cast form. Pounced decoration of navy blue and brown glazes, airbrushed with ochre for a mottled effect, on a cream ground, all underglaze.
