Egg-shaped vase with flattened mouth

Inventory number: St 484

Both the neck and foot are black and finished with a double ochre stripe. Full-length decoration on the body consisting of three registers, decorated along the edges with dark green and chestnut triangles arranged into lozenges with garnet squares at the top, fanning out into larger lozenges.

Slip-cast form. Decoration with printed contours, traced with ochre slip, filled in with matt yellow, chestnut, dark green and garnet enamel on a white ground. Black enamelled inside.
