Oval vase with flattened mouth

Inventory number: St 293

Stylised central decoration of four stags and a doe in various poses. Wide frieze on the neck and foot, composed of round, geometric and abstract motifs, separated from the central frieze by a band with parallel inclined stripes. Neck and foot are finished with a double cobalt and turquoise line.

Slip-cast form. Decoration with printed contours filled in with cobalt, turquoise, pale blue and black enamel on a white ground. Crackling mainly visible in the white. Juxtaposition of enamels without outlines for the anatomical rendering of the animal
